New Wave Ramen | A Taste of Japan

For authentic ramen, New Wave Ramen is the place to be. Known for its lamb Tan Tan Ramen, New Wave combines traditional Japanese flavours with a modern twist. The open kitchen adds to the fun, so you can watch the magic unfold as your tastebuds await. For steak aficionados, Hawksmoor is a must-visit destination. So obvious as this is, it’s got to be on the list. This renowned restaurant is famous for its high-quality steaks and impeccable service. Perfectly cooked ribeye or a succulent Sunday roast, you can expect consistency and excellence in every bite. Ideal for a special occasions or just an indulgent mood. The sides are a must too.

You never know what will be on the menu here as the flavours change through the year but the quality is always top class.

This restaurant focuses on using high-quality produce to create comforting dishes that remind you of home. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you step inside. Pair your meal with a carefully selected wine from their extensive list for an unforgettable dining experience.

Onda | Pasta Dreams

If handmade pasta is the only thing that will do, look no further than Onda. For authentic Indian cuisine that has stood the test of time, Kabana is your go-to spot. Serving up some of the best rice and three dishes in Manchester for over 40 years, this hidden gem in the Northern Quarter offers rich flavours that keep customers coming back for more. A simple, hearty meal in the friendliest of atmospheres.

Schofield’s Bar | Cocktails and Bites

Looking for a place to unwind with great cocktails? Although the drinks are the main event here, this place is worth a mention simply for their bloody Mary tartar, a little morsel that provides a flavour explosion before you get too far through the cocktail menu.

Happy Seasons | Nostalgic Flavours

Manchester’s China town restaurant Happy Seasons is where to head if you want to be welcomed with open arms, and leave with a warm heart and satisfied stomach. The decor is unassuming but the food is tasty as it gets with Hong Kong style bbq meats top of my list on every visit.
